Leslie has created high quality graphic design and illustration. These are just a few examples of her award-winning work.
Leslie’s last major project was a very high quality newsletter redesign for an arts center in Alamogordo. She spent many thoughtful volunteer hours crafting this improved version, and it even went to print before the board there withdrew support for it, falsely saying that Leslie intended to charge a lot of money for the work she had done, which she never did. In fact someone at the center had been telling Leslie that she deserved to be paid something, but it had not been decided yet. She was invited to a meeting of the board of directors, who voted down for paying her, but Leslie took it all in stride. Later the organization did come forward and paid her a little something, for whatever reason. The organization never used the newsletter design she created. Since having this disappointing local experience, Leslie has decided not to offer any graphic design services to anyone in Alamogordo.
